In youth there exists an innocence of sight and vision which is the catalyst  for observing the imagined and the
real.  I believe these visions have remained active in my mind's eye as vivid representation of characters  found
within nature.  My photography attempts to discover and reveal hidden portraits of different characters found
within nature; looking very similar to the whimsical imaginary characters found within popular myths, legends and
fairy tales. The characters I see astound me daily, the beauty to be able to photograph them inspires me to
promote new possibilities on how we perceive nature.  I want the viewer to observe nature in a supernatural way
and to in turn question those observations.   Photography allows me to have actual proof that nature reveals
classic fictional characters, these beings have been celebrated, documented and indexed since the beginning
of time, and are still a source of entertainment alive and well in our world today.  And thank heavens for that
otherwise I don't know where I would begin in trying to describe what it is exactly that I'm seeing, and what it is
exactly that I should be saying to explain what I see.
I'm concentrating on artistic revelations that provide insight for hopes of a more visually attuned world.  My
artistic intentions seek to open people's eyes to the amazing  visual possibilities of the natural world around
us.  With my collection of photographs I hope to captivate and motivate others to want to see these
characters that literally exist in our own backyards, on every tree and within all plant life.

Take your time and use the title of the photograph as your clue to find the hidden portrait.
All it takes is a little imagination and a reason to believe.
